MODIFICATION DATE: 03/02/00 |
1. Check unit for wire chaffing especially around the generator especially during the first 100 hours of operation.
2. Do not depress the reset pushbutton more than twice when the AC voltmeter is reading more than 150VAC.
3. During starting in cold temperatures some units may trip on AC under frequency. Re- adjust the under-frequency trip setting to 370HZ. Turning the Under frequency potentiometer, located on the AC Board, counterclockwise approximately two turns will lower the trip setting.
4. Loose connections may exist on the aux contact of K1 and K3 especially from unit S/Ns 1-100. Lock-tight should be applied to all the #6 Screws on the aux contactors.
5. Yes the fault lights and gauges are concealed behind the panel. Some users have made a cut-out with a plexi-glass insert to allow viewing of the fault lights and gauges. Coat the plexi-glass or any type of viewing window with UV protection.
6. The voltage adjust pot (VA) may get wet if the control panel door is left open in the rain. This may cause an overvoltage condition. A possible solution is to seal the pot with RTV around the stem.
